I am from New Lenox, Illinois and a huge Blackhawks fan. I enjoy playing all kinds of sports in my free time, but I specifically love volleyball as I played that all four years of High School. I also love anything do to with science which is why I am in engineering. I also love traveling to different states as well as different countries around the world!

What activities and clubs are/were you involved in at the University of Illinois?

At the University, I am a part of many clubs including the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Student Space Systems, and Sigma Nu fraternity. I also play a lot of recreational volleyball on campus.

How did you hear about the Illini Dads Association scholarship?

My mom was helping me look for scholarships and we found it online on Facebook.

Why did you decide to apply?

Whenever there is an opportunity for a scholarship, it is always worth trying for it and seeing what you can get out of it. Specifically, the Dads Association peaked my interest after learning more about it.

How did the scholarship benefit you? Were there any specific areas that it helped?

I use the money to help my parents pay off my college tuition along with the student loans which greatly reduced it!

What are/were you hoping to gain from an education at the University?

I hope I can gain many new experiences and friendships from my education through all the clubs and activities on campus. Moreover, I also hope to gain a higher knowledge of my major and experience a deeper meaning into what I am studying.

What has been your favorite experience as a student at the University of Illinois?

One of my favorite experiences is meeting all my lifelong friends in a variety of areas such as sports, my major, and around campus in general. I love socializing with everyone and meeting new people and I have met a ton of amazing people on campus that I hope to continue to interact with.

What are your plans for the future?

In my future, I hope to work and progress the space industry into new heights and make space travel possible. I would also like to visit as many countries as possible in the world to add to the variety of cultures that I want to experience.
