The University of Illinois Dads Association was formed in 1922, as one of the first parent programs in the country. The goals of our organization are:
- to be an information source for parents about the University of Illinois
- through fundraising, to assist in providing scholarships and critical resources for students and student-related programs.
All fathers of enrolled students automatically become general members of the Dad’s Association. Likewise, all association board members must have students at the University of Illinois. As you and your students experience life at the University, we understand the challenges you are facing. We also know of the exciting times in your future.
Working with the Illini Union Parent and Family Programs Office, we hope to provide you with helpful information about the University, about dealing with the transition of your child coming to the University, and much more. On this website, you will find information on getting involved in the Dads Association, about Dads Weekend (a fun weekend that takes place in the Fall each year), links to university resources, and much, much more.
The Dads Association congratulates your student on choosing the University of Illinois, and we share your pride in your child’s accomplishments. Please join us in making their experience the best it can be.
